Storyteller by heart, techie by trade, Brenda lives in a sleepy small town in Iowa with her three children (3,5, and 16), husband and the new additions, two kittens (Momo and Princess Seriphina Ballerina). Brenda began writing as a child and continued her passion through high school. In college, life hit her and she was force to put away her pens and notebooks. Longing to dust off the imagination, she finally had a moment to pick up a pen, or keyboard in this case, and let her imagination fly once more. She has just finished writing Prophecy Awakens, an alternate history story where vampires live among us. And how one girl learns there is more to life than just being a good daughter and wife as she tries to survive destruction at the hands of a vampire. Currently editing a sequel to Prophecy Awakens, Brenda is also working on podcasting the first book. A first time participant in NaNoWriMo, she is very excited to begin work on several other stories ranging from horror, science fiction to fantasy and parody. Which one she decides to work on in November, she won't know until the muse strikes her on November 1st. Brenda is a huge music lover. And if you've ever been to her office you would know she has a wide range of styles and always has music playing, inspiring her creativity and molding her mood. Her role models consist of Scott Sigler, JC Hutchins, Mur Lafferty, and Chris Lester to name a few. We could list more, but that would just fill several pages and she is concerned about the length. She appreciates all the support from the podcasting community, her family and friends as she pursues her first love, writing. Â |
